Day Program

At Disability Resources, Inc. we are known for our superior quality residential and vocational training programs for intellectually disabled adults, but we also have a Day Program for those who benefit from our programs but live off-campus.

Our affordable Day Program is second to none. Participants in the Day Program benefit from the following:

Vocational Training

We feel that the fulfillment and self-esteem our folks receive from having a job are very important. Document Destruction, Sorting and Food Production are just the beginning of what are Folks are learning. Participants who choose to work in the vocational portion of the DRI Day Program are paid a commensurate wage for work performed. All programs are fully supervised by qualified, well-trained staff.

Developmental Training

Educational activities and instruction are incorporated into our daily programs. Activities like science and history films, along with coordinated activities make learning fun. We also practice counting money, work puzzles, and have art projects, to name a few.

Life Skills Training

We provide individualized training in all areas of self-help skills, daily living skills, and social skills necessary for integration into the community. All training and educational services deliberately attempt to facilitate the effective development of every individual.

Recreation and Therapy

The Gen. Chuck Yeager Activity Center is home to a full service cafeteria and commercial kitchen; activity room with ping pong, Nintendo Wii, Foosball, and more; an arts and crafts room; a media room/ library combination with theater seating, computers, and reading area; physical therapy room; and a ¾ size gymnasium with walking track, fitness equipment, basketball goals, volleyball, movie projection screen, and more.
