Day Program
At Disability Resources Incorporated we are known for our superior quality residential and vocational training programs for developmentally disabled adults, but we also have a Day Program for those who benefit from our programs but live off-campus.
Our affordable Day Program is second to none. Participants in the Day Program benefit from the following:
Vocational Training
We feel that the fulfillment and self-esteem our folks receive from having a job are very important. Our folks may choose light assembly work, food production, and landscaping/grounds keeping. Participants who choose to work in the vocational portion of the DRI Day Program are paid a commensurate wage for work performed. All programs are fully supervised by qualified, well-trained staff.
Developmental Training
Educational activities and instruction are incorporated into our daily programs. Activities like science and history films, along with coordinated activities make learning fun. We also practice counting money, we work puzzles, and we have art projects, to name a few.
Life Skills Training
We provide individualized training in all areas of self-help skills, daily living skills, and social skills necessary for integration into the community. All training and educational services deliberately attempt to facilitate the effective development of every individual.
Recreation and Therapy
The Gen. Chuck Yeager Activity Center is home to a full service cafeteria and commercial kitchen; activity room with ping pong, Nintendo Wii, Foosball, and more; an arts and crafts room; a media room/ library combination with theater seating, computers, and reading area; physical therapy room; and a ¾ size gymnasium with walking track, fitness equipment, basketball goals, volleyball, movie projection screen, and more. A huge covered patio with picnic tables provides an additional area for outdoor eating and special events.
New programming for this area includes physical fitness, nutritional education, and food service programs that will not only enhance the lives of those we serve, but could also extend their lives with better health. The Center is also home to parties, dances, movies, barbeques, and other special activities for the precious folks we serve. There is never a dull moment at DRI!

Summer Camp
A Down Right Incredible camp for disabled adults.
Looking for a meaningful resource for adults with special needs? Do you need a respite from the challenges of caring for a loved one with a disability?
Camp Down Right Incredible…
Sponsored by Disability Resources Incorporated, is a week-long experience for adult men and women with developmental disabilities. We’ll learn, play and make new friends. We’ll have a movie night on Tuesday, a dance on Thursday night, and on Friday we’ll end the week with Picnic on the Patio at noon with families invited.
Benefits of Camping
Social Skills Development
Interacting with peers in an environment that encourages and supports social development
Independence
Camp DRI increases skills and enhances self-confidence. Parents are often surprised to find that campers return home with a new can-do spirit.
Respite
Providing families much-needed respite from the rigors and challenges they face every day, and giving them the peace of mind that their disabled loved one is safe, well cared for, and engaged.
Transition
Camp may be the first time the individual is away from home. Camp DRI staff is sensitive to this very important transition in the camper’s life.
The Camp DRI experience serves to let participants discover and explore their interests and talents. Camp DRI also provides an opportunity to learn to problem-solve, make social adjustments to new and different people, and gain new skills to increase self-esteem. Campers are incorporated in the day-to-day work and activities that our full-time folks at DRI enjoy.
We’ve been putting smiles on our folks’ faces for over 25 years!
