After evaluating each person’s physical, mental and emotional status, as well as their personal needs and desires, we establish an appropriate plan for their development. VocationalMany of our residents enjoy the fulfillment that comes with a job. Residents may choose light assembly work, food service, food manufacturing, or janitorial. Soon, cooking classes teach basic food preparation, sanitation and safety — great for residents who are able to prepare some of their own meals. All vocational programs are fully supervised by qualified staff. SensoryWe offer a number of programs that focus on physical and occupational therapy, sensory stimulation, self-care, and communication. Our Medically Involved Program is for those who have special medical conditions. Our Sensory/Motor program promotes active engagement in the environment and helps individuals transition to perform work activities when possible. And, our Functional/Motor Program provides habilitation training for those who need to improve their motor skills. |
